Hi, I’m Louis. I’m originally from Preston and I graduated as a chiropractor in 1996 from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth, after four years of full-time training for a BSc in Chiropractic.

With over 29 years of experience and many thousands of patients seen, I’m confident we can help you with your problem. The main aim of chiropractic care is to help your body work better — and I’ve been fortunate to help people with a huge range of problems, from those in pain for over 30 years to those with much more recent symptoms. If chiropractic isn’t right for you, we’ll do our best to point you towards the people who can help.

How I came to chiropractic

Before I became a chiropractor I was a chiropractic patient. I first saw a chiropractor after a road traffic accident at the age of 21, on the recommendation of my great aunt and my dad — both of whom had benefitted from chiropractic care. That first experience gave me relief and stirred a long-standing interest in the nervous system, the skeleton and human health.

How I work today

Since graduating I’ve trained extensively with many of the world’s top chiropractors and clinical specialists. The disciplines I most integrate into day-to-day practice — alongside my core chiropractic skills — are Functional Neurology / Clinical Neuroscience, Applied Kinesiology (AK), Visceral Chiropractic, Neuro-Emotional Technique (NET), Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT), Cranial work, Extremity Techniques (CCEP), Nutrition, Rehabilitation and Ergonomics.

In many ways I work as much as an Applied Clinical Neuroscientist as a Chiropractor. The treatment and exercises I prescribe are highly informed by problem-solving what is actually driving the tension and dysfunction in your body — so we can get your posture (structure) and your nervous system’s influence over your muscles and joints (function) working as well as possible.

Outside the clinic

I continue to receive regular chiropractic care myself, which keeps me fit and well so I can keep doing the work I love. Over the years I’ve drawn benefit from many other disciplines — Tai Chi, Chi Kung, Yoga, Pilates, Meditation, Massage, the Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais, Counselling and Cranial-Sacral work — and the skills I’ve picked up I bring to bear in helping you get better quickly and stay healthier.

I look forward to meeting you.
